Make your own way to Stanthorpe and the accommodation we have booked for you. Evening at your leisure.
We will pick you up from your accommodation.
Vehicle transfer to Australia’s first law enforcement dog show & Truffle Discovery Centre.
Set off to discover the Granite Belt by bicycle.
Local cheese tasting and lunch in a working dairy farm café and cheese factory.
After lunch we pedal to local wineries to sample award winning wines; and orchards to taste apple juice, cider and liqueurs.
Your purchases will be transported by our handy support vehicle!
Dismount for a short bush walk up Mt Marlay for great views of Stanthorpe.
Day 1 ends with a well-earned drink in one of Stanthorpe’s oldest pubs before retiring to your accommodation for the evening.
Evening: explore Stanthorpe’s culinary delights or sample local brews (at your leisure). We’ll provide a list of dining suggestions upon booking the tour.
Profile - Day 1
After breakfast, our guide (and bikes) meets you at your accommodation.
First stop is a visit to a strawberry farm where you can pick your own and buy freshly picked plump delicious strawberries*.
Did somebody say craft beer brewery?! Meet the brewer and sample the product.* Morning tea is served here.
Cycling south towards Ballandean we stop at many local producers of lovely things including wine, olives, fudge and hand-made soap.
Get a selfie with 'Fruitosaurus' – our very own dinosaur; and the (fairly) famous pyramid of the Granite Belt!
Late, mouth-watering lunch at a local cafe or pub.
Vehicle transport back to Stanthorpe with all your purchases and great memories of a fantastic weekend on the Granite Belt.
* Strawberries not available June through to September/October. If the farm is open for pyo strawberries, we will visit.
* Beer tasting incurs an extra charge.

Where does the tour start?
The tour starts and finishes in Stanthorpe at a pre-determined meeting point. Both nights accommodation are in Stanthorpe.
How far is it?
Day 1 is approximately 30kms and Day 2 is approximately 35kms. See the individual day ride profiles above.
I haven’t ridden a bike for some time, could I do this tour?
A moderate level of fitness and an ability to ride a bike on sealed and unsealed roads is preferable to make this an enjoyable tour for everyone.
Can I bring my own bike?
Sure. It should be in good working order and suitable for the terrain which includes sealed, unsealed, gravel, sand etc. You should also bring spare tubes with you.
